Academic Institutions

Center for Applied Environmental Public Health advances the science
of environmental health by conducting research to solve occupational and
environmental health problems, linking and translating research to environmental
health practices, and providing education and training to occupational
and environmental public health professionals. Dr. Leemann is an adjunct
assistant professor with the Center and teaches two graduate courses.

Ackoff Center for Advancement of Systems Approaches is named for
Dr. Russell L. Ackoff, Emeritus Anheuser-Busch Professor of the Wharton
School. The Center operates as a think tank in the vanguard of systems
approaches.
Non-Profit Organizations
The
Center for
Environmental Innovation, Inc. is a 501c (3) that conducts and
supports research and development of environmental, health and safety
management practices that are responsive to a broad range of stakeholders.
Dr. Leemann is the Program Director for a nationwide research project
to determine the current "health" of the environmental, occupational
health, industrial hygiene, safety, occupational medicine and loss control/prevention
professions.
Professional Societies
The
American Society of
Safety Engineers is the largest and oldest professional safety
organization providing professional development and representation for
those practicing safety, health and environmental functions in the private
and public sectors.
The
American Industrial
Hygiene Association promotes, protects and enhances industrial
hygienists and other occupational health, safety and environmental professionals
in their efforts to improve the health and well-being of workers, the
community and the environment.
The
International Society
for the Systems Sciences encourages the development of theoretical
systems and models that are applicable to more than one of the traditional
departments of knowledge.
Consulting and Service Firms

EGMA provides consulting to help clients realize full asset agility.
EGMA offers state-of-the-art processes and supporting software systems
for integrated supply chain planning, knowledge management, new product
development and agile manufacturing. Dr. Leemann has collaborated with
Dr. Mahler on a variety of projects to include the design and development
of EHS Management Information Systems.
